现在市场出售的铁艺，铁花的材料一般都是用生铁浇注，或是用熟铁锻打的。这两种材料的共同特点都是比较容易生绣，要避免这种现象，关键在于如何做好铁艺，铁花的表面防绣处理。

目前，铁艺铁花的表面防绣工艺通常的做法是在做简单的除锈之后，表面涂一二层防绣漆，再涂上所需要的各种颜色漆，这种工艺的缺点就是一旦在防锈漆的涂布时，有不均匀或有遗漏的地方，铁艺就很容易在漏涂处开始生锈，导致锈斑蔓延。而且防锈漆的有效防锈时间也就只有两年左右时间。

另一种铁艺表面处理使用了国际上通用的喷塑工艺。在喷塑前，先将相关的部件浸泡在酸洗池中，彻底除去铁件表面铁锈，然后再对其进行磷化处理，对铁艺静电殖塑，送入烘箱烘烤，这样的工艺对铁件所有部位都进行了仔细的处理，确保了铁艺，铁花在相对长的时间里不会生绣。

Another type of iron surface treatment uses the internationally recognized spray coating process. Before spraying, the relevant components are soaked in an acid pickling tank to thoroughly remove rust on the surface of the iron parts. Then, phosphating treatment is carried out, and finally, the iron is electrostatically molded and sent to an oven for baking. 铁花一般分三种：

优点：生铁铸：成本低、速度快；型钢锻打：形态别致美观大方，可塑性好；型钢造型：成本相对较低、可塑性好。

适用范围：生铁铸：档次较低的区域；型钢锻打：大型公共场所、高档订酒店；型钢造型：可以所用于所有地方。

制作工艺：生铁铸：图样设计、打样、翻沙、浇铸；型钢锻打：图样设计、取料、锻烧、锻打、焊接；型钢造型：图样设计、取料、冷弯、焊接。
